Coke facts

While i was sitting at my desk, thinking about what the next post should be and drinking a nice, cool can of Coke, the idea hit me: some "facts" about my favourite drink along with some nice infographics about the company and brand itself.

Fact #1: Coca-Cola was first made in the colour green!
Well that's not entirely true but worth a mention since it's so damn popular.

Fact #2: It used to contain cocaine up until 1905, when it was removed due to public concern. Guess that's why they call it Coke.

Fact #3: It was originally made to cure hangovers and headaches. If only...

Fact #4: Coca-Cola is very good at cleaning up blood spots, and is often used in the States to clean blood of from the roads after an accident! "Coca-cola; helping serial killers since 1886.

Fact #5: Another less known flavour that Coca-Cola released was the "Coca-Cola BlāK". This was a coffee flavoured soft drink, released in 2006 in France. Sadly this was short lived, and Coca-Cola discontinued the production in 2008.

Fact #6: Coca-Cola even helped create the modern image of Santa!That is if you believe Santa to be a jolly old coke guzzling, truck driving grandpa.

Fact #7: 3.1% of all beverages consumed around the world are Coca-Cola products. According to this at least.

Fact #8: The red and white Coca-Cola logo is recognised by 94% of the world's population. Talk about communism.

Fact #9: Coca-Cola spends more money on advertising than Microsoft and Apple combined.

Fact #10:  Coca-cola is better than Pepsi. Yes that's just my opinion but that doesn't mean it's wrong. Or that it's right. It just means Pepsi is worse than Coke.
